The unkempt farms which he remembered years axo about the station were emblematic of the stagnation and inertness of the democracy. ‘The enterprise which had built this beau- tiful suburb was the work of republicans niy, and, if republicans were given the they would do for Montgomery county and the whole state what the done for this Mr. B. H. Warner made the cl who said the officers of registration trumped uj y technicality imaginable against the of a republican. Their sment were so framed that the man who came to beautify and improve the roads, the Homes and farms of the county really fined for his enterprise, and paid nearly all the taxes, wh'le denied a voice in the manage- ment of the funds. All he wanted was a fair show to educate his children to become vseful, intelligent citizens. This the repub- Mean party would promise them, hecause it believes that in intelligence lies the safety of the commonwealth. LANGDON.
