EASTER SUNDAY IN THE CHURCHES How the Great Christian Festival Will Be Celebrated. CHOIRS AND THEIR LEADERS eee ae The Easter services in the various churches in the city promise to be of more than usual beauty and Interest this year. With flowers and music the glad anniver- sary will be celebrated, not only in the Catholic and Episcopal churches, but in most of the others as well. It would seem that every year the celebration of this church festival becomes more general and the floral decorations and the musical fea- tures more elaborate. This year the choirs of the different churches have been prac- ticing diligently for weeks and months, With the result that at the services tomor- Tow the congregations will be given a mu- sical treat of the highest order of excet- lence. The programs arranged in different churches are as follows: Catholic. St. Matthew’s—Easter Sunday: Solemn high mass will eommence at Il am., at which the music will be as follows: Before mass, Vidi Aquam, by Lucheel. During the mass, Kyrie Eleison and Gloria in Excelsis Deo, from Giorza’s Mass No. 4; Graduale from Silas’ prize mass; before the sermon, Veni Creator, by Chadwick; after sermon, Credo in Unum Deum, Gtorza’s Mass No. 4; at the offertory, Regina Coeli, by M.
