Conformably to announcement the officers of the Grand Lodge visited Columbia Lodge, No. 10, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Thurs- day evening. The usual ceremonies of introduc- tion having been gone through with a brief recess followed, after which the officers ex- emplified the work and showed a marked pro- ficiency. The reports made by the grand sec- retary and acting grand treasurer showed the lodge to be in a good condition. Remarks of an interesting character were made by Grand Master Crawshaw, Noble Grand Morrison, Grand Warden Mead, Grand Secretary Hunt, Acting Grand Treasurer Andrews, Grand Rep- resentatives Stier and Allan, Grand Chaplain Lucas, irand Conductor Jones, Past Grands nd ThackeMord, Peet Grand Hughes goon Lodge and Pret Grand Masters and Crandall. Much interest wus ed in the proceedings. Columbia Lodge is. over fifty-two years old, having been instituted July 16, 1840, and contains on its rolis some of the most active members of the order.
