Some Notable Receptions — Personal Notes. Mrs. Harrison's first Saturday afternoon drawing room last week was a most pleasur- sble affair. The day was a beautiful one, and the sun shone through the windows, crowing the yeliow gas light from the chandeliers, Out side the White House the arrangements were excellent. At 3 o'clock the line of expectant Visitors reached from the front door to the ‘West gate of the grounds. Mrs, Harrison stood im the cast room in a trained gown of gray faille made with panels of blush rose silk veiled and white pearl embroidered net. The bodice was trimmed in front with a vest of the pink silk, covered with net, and at the back there was s pointed picce filled with the net and edged with heavy pearl passementeric. | Mrs, Harrison held a round hand bouquet of lilies of the valley, edged with smilax. by her side stood Mrs. Frye, in white satin brocade. Mra, Cabot Lodge, who was third in line, wore a high dress of pale pink and white mull, with # back of biack and white striped silk, Mra. Clarkson Was very attractive in black velvet and old gold satin and gold lace. Behind the line the Feceiving party was composed of Mrs. McKee, Mrs. Morton, Mrs. Wanamaker, Mrs. Noble, Mrs. Miller, the Misses Upson.
