In the Police Court this morning Mr. Joseph Shillington, the retiring prosecuting ofticer, called Judge Miller's attention to the fact that his resignation had been accepted and be then introduced his successor, Mr. Neill Damont. Judge Miller paid the retiring oficer a high compliment and gave his successor a hearty welcome. United States Indian Agent McLaughlin of Standing Rock, rth Dakota, who is in the city with the Sioux delegation, was shown the dispatch from Bismarck in yesterday's Sram and he says that there is no truth in the state- ment that Sitting Bull is incensed at not being invited to eee with the delegation. Sitting Bull understood very well that only those who signed the treaty last summer would be invited and he accepted the situation grace- fully, Col, McLaugh! denies that Sitting Ball and himself ure on bad terms. He Was Locked Up. Detective Block this afternoon arrested Wm. J. Patch, a young man who resides on 10th street, and locked him up ona charge of dis- orderly conduct.
