In the Criminal Court, Chief Justice Bing- ham, this morning, two colored women, Sarah Coates and Christmas Sewall, were arraigned for the murder of the infant child of,the former on October 1 last in rear of 514 3d street southeast by drowning or suffocating it in a bucket of water. The pound master and his assistants go out every morning, as they did during the summer, and yesterday captured a wagon load of dogs, a flock of geese, a goat and a horse. The geese belonged to Miss Riley, who recently attracted some notice when she resided in a hut in north- east Washington. Justice Bradley of the United States Supreme Court was in the Police Court yesterday as a witness in the case of Newton Robinson, a countryman, who was charged with reckless driving, The judge was in his carriage yester- day on his way to the Capitol, when the coun- tryman, who had a load of hay, drove his team in such ‘a manner as to collide with the judge’s | carriage. ‘The judge complained to Policeman Kimiel, who arrested Robinson.
