2 STILL PROGRESSING. The Model Twelve-Page Star to be Issued Tomorrow. The columns of Tax Stan contain the news of the world, No expense has been spared to place the paper in the front rank of news jour- nals, and none will be spared to keep it there. Constant additions are being made to its exten- sive reportorial, telegraphic and mechanical facilities. The directors of the Washington loan and trust company, recently organized in this city, held a meeting yesterday and elected Mr. Chas, P. Williams secretary. The directors decided to leave the office at the northwest corner of 10th and F streets, which is to be vacated by the Corcoran fire insurance company when they take possession of their new office on 11th street just north of F street. The new com- pany will begin business about the 10th of Oc- tober. It is the intention to erect a building somewhere on F street which will be specially — for the business. Ferguson’s Funeral. The funeral of the late Robert B. Ferguson took place this afternoon from the Central Methodist Protestant church, 12th street near M northwest, and was very largely attended, Mr. Ferguson wasa native of this Y city and in early life learned the drug business with Mc- Pherson, corner of Peunsylvania avenue and Ist street southeast, with whom he was rtner subsequently after- business.
