That such a bill will soon become a law no one for a moment doubts, and “Rock ereek park” is now spoken of and regarded by our citizens as thouzh the aequisi- ton of the land by the government were already pmplished. The land in question, however, t yet the property of tie government, and is no assurance that any of it will be do- | nated or even that it will be condemned at its present value. Is it wise, then, for the Commis- sioners of the District to extend avenues, build. bridges and make other improvements on the land whici: the government expects to purchase ataneariy day?
