A man whose ideas change with the ehapes of the clouds is not the man for decisive action in business or clse- where; and his is the opinion which is tsst sought and first forcotton. And a “As fickle as a changeful dream” is the world’s yerdict of such @ character. But we are to speak of positive people, snd in these para- grapbs we propose to give the opinions of a few such on # subject now exercising the earnest at- tention of the people all over the country. These statements are representative of the thousands we have recsived from gratefal ones everywhere, and are convincing by reason of thelr poritive citation of facts. There'’eno uncertainty in thesound. The true ring is everywhere heard, and falls upon the ear of the sufferer with sesur- ance of positive benefit to any such who may need the services of a rapid and reliable pain-relfever. If therefore you are sick with rheumatiam or other painful malady, and are positively determined to try toget ridof the complaint, let us advise you to procure a bottle of St. Jacobs Oil, the Great German Remedy. properly use it, and become well again. In corroberation of its efficacy the follow. ing condensed opinions quoted by the leading Papers of the country will prove convincing. The Chicago “Evening Journal” says: Leonard Swett, Erq.«the grest lawyer of the Northwest, thus ro- sards the world-renowned remedy: Bt. Jacobs (il seemed to have a peculiarly powerful and pene- trating effect, going at once to the cause of the difficulty and curing it. For general rheum and neuraigic troubles, I believe it will always brivg relief. It is certainly the best remedy I have ever known. ‘The Philadelphia *'Ledver” of | December 20, 1880, mentions among others, the case of chief of Police of that city, Bamuel H. Given, Erq , who says he used St. Jacobs Ol in his family, for various painful ailments, with excel lent results, He has also heard from many who have used it for rheumatism, that it alone of al remedies did them good. The Chicago ** Times says: Everybody on the south side knows J. D. L. Harvey, Esq.. who has been a resident of Obicago for over twenty years. Mr. Harvey expressed himself on the “oil subject” as fol- lows: ‘*I have spent over 82,000 to cure my Wife of rheumatism. Two bottles of St. Jscobs Oil accomplished what all the medical treatment failed to bring about. I regard it greater discovery than electricity." A prominent New York daily thus refers to the case of Mra. Alice May, the authoress, No. 157 South Portlsnd Av- enue, New York city: She bad been suifering for a week with neuralzia in her face. She ap- plied St. Jacobs Oil one night, and in a few min utes after she fell into a sleep, and next morn- ing the pain had entirely fod. The Ohicag> **Inter-Ocean” saya: Capt. Paul Boyton, the world-renowned swimmer, thus speaks of the Old German Remedy: From constant exposure I am ecmewbat subject to rheumatic pains, and noth- ing would ever benefit me untill got hold of this Old German Remedy. I would not attempt a trip without St. Jacobs Oll as I do not see how I could etalon without it. From the Cincianatl “Star” we clip the following: Undoubtedly it is a Temarkable medicine, says Stacey Hill, esq , of the Mt. Auburn Incined Plane Railway, Cincia- nati. Iwas limping about, bardly able to move, with rheumatism in the hip’, or scistics. Heariax of St. Jacobs Ou, I procured s bottle of it, and With the third application was able to go about with perfect ease and comfort. The Albany (N.¥.) “‘Daily Press and Knickerbocker” in a late issue says. We perceive by one of our Massachusetta exchanges that Dr. Lorenzo Waite, of Westfield, aneiinent physician of Berkshire Co., strongiy indorses St. Jacoba Oll. With it he cured a case of sciatica that resisted all rezular professional treat- ment, and that had in fact been abandoned as in- curable. The Indianapolis *‘Aentinel’*in alsteissue observes: Mr. Austin P. White, 335 W. Monroe street, Chicago, informs us: I have had occasion to thoroughly test the qualities of Bt. Jacobs Oil upon myself and my family, and have found it the best and most effective ramody of the kind ever known. The Boston “Globe” says: Chas. 8. Strickland, Eaq., Bailéer, No. 9 Boylston street and 106 Harrison Avenue, of that city, thus speaks: One week ago I was seized with an attack of acute rheumatism of the knee. In ® fex hours the entire knee Joint became swollen to enormous proportions and walking rendered impossible. By chance I learned of Bt Jacobs Oi. I used it, and in a few hours was free from pain in knee, arm and shoulder. The St. Louis ‘*Post-Dispatch” says: At the close of a ccurse of lectures at Burlington lately, Pri feseor ‘Tice was taken suddenly and alarming- ly 21 with Neuralgia of the chest, his pulee failing from 80 to 35, an@ physicians failed to relieve him. Thinking of St, Jacobs Ol, the professor ordered it to be spplied on flannel and was instantaneously relieved ; in one hour the pain was gone, and he left for his home in Bt. Louis. The Philadelphis “*Times" mentions the case of Michsel Beddine, $268. Filth street, that city, who was cured of a most serious and alarming case of inflammstory rheumatism by the use of St. Jacobs Oil, reconi- mended to him by his friend General R. E. Wins- ow. The Byracute (N.¥ ) Courier" in slste issu eays: From a Fali River (Mass ) e quote: Mr. Isssc L. Hart, Superintende: nard Manufacturing Company, No. 3 Ashton street, wives this as hisexperieace: I have used that superior remedy, St. Jacobs Vil, in s severe cae of rheumatism in my arm, and ite effect was wonderful, having banished, after a thorouzh trial, all pain, leaving my arm as well as ever. ‘The Albany (N. ¥.) “Press and Knickerbocker” mentions the following: Ins New York daily we find mentioned the case of Mr. J.hnS. Briczs, a well-snown citizen cf Omahs, Neb., who hsd been terribly afllicted with acute rheumatism in the back, and who was rescued from ita clutches by the use of St. Jacobs Oll, after vainly trying many known means. The Lynchburs (Va ) **News” in one of its recent editions prints the following: Mr. John McGrath, 1236 Christian street, Phila. delphis, Iste business manager Philadelphia “Sunday Mercury,” was cured of severe rheumatism in the ankle by a few applications of 8t. Jacobs Oil,—says one of our Phil- adelphia exchanges. The Kansas City ‘“Times" says ‘The eastern representative of this paper reports that ite book-keeper suffered very severely, and for along time, with rheumstism. He tried St. Jacobs Oil, a single bottls of which entirely cured him. ‘This however, is in strict accord with state- ments from all directions concerning the wonder- fal remedy. The Des Moines (Iowa) ‘‘state Leader” mentions the following: The name of Mr. Jnlius Hoffstadt, one of the largest clothing manufacturers of Madison, Ind., appears in one of qur exchatges of that state, a8 bearing hearty testimony to the wonderful cure by 8t. Jaccbs Oil, of his wife who suffered terribly with rheumatism. Permanent relief fvl- lowed its use. The Kaleigh iN. ©.) “News and Observer” says: in a “recent issue, the Norfolk ‘*Virginisn" mentiors, among other cases, that of a prominent druggist of War- renton, N. C., who, ona business trip to Norfolk, severely injured himeelf by falling ou theice. By advice he used St. Jacobs Oil and with such happy result, thathe wenton his way cured and rejoic- ing. The Boston “Post” ins Isteedition says The Epringfield (Mass.) ‘‘Union,” in a recent issue contained the following from Mr. C. N. Manches- ter, Cutler strect, thatcity:—I have used St Jacobs Oil, and esteem it the best remedy for rheumatism Thave ever tried. It acts like magic, and I cannot overestimate its value, when I pronounce it the greatest rheumstle remedy of the age. The St Louis ‘*Chronicle” ssys-—Some believe that even the form of trial py Jury is not perfectly free from }rejndice. Butin our section, St. Jacobs Oil has been tried by that wreat jury—the public—and been Judged the infallible cure for rheumstism and ali painful diseases. 2he Oleveland (Ohio) **Plain- dealer” concludes an extendededitorial in this wise: All in all, when summed up, it must be plain to every fair-minded man that never in the history of our country has a medical discovery been brouxht before the public and accepted withsuch universal expressions of favor as this great German remedy. ‘The Chicago (Ill.) ‘*Times,” in closing an elabo- rate editorial, wherein were embodied the state- ments of many of the most solid business men and influential citizens of Chicago, ob- Serves in reference to St. Jacobs Oil: ‘*These interviews, as herein reported, should be enough tosatisfy the most skeptical of the wonder- ful, almost miraculous properties contained in these litule bottles * ‘These sentiments are the uni- versal echo of the press of the land, and carry with convincing emphasis indubitable proof of the wonderful efficacy of the grest German Remedy, St. Jacobs Oil; s remedy known universally, used efficaclously and praited unstintedly, as we have seen, because 6f its own peculiar and character- istic pewer over pain. ut MPANWS EXTHACT OF EA: GiNest AND OHEAPEST MEAT FLAVORING STOCK FOB SOUPS, MADE DIBHES AND BAUCKS.
