He wrapped it aronnd his bacd once or twice and om the other end had tied an old broken flesh knife. This he thoughtlesaly threw over the ltne shaft, which Is about three inches in diameter, and makes 109 revolutions per minute. The rape became entangled and car- rled the boy with it, whirling him about with terrible velocity. The thumping of his fest as they would strike the roof attracted the attention of the men in the room below, who rushed up stairs to witness the horri- ble scene. He died in a fow minutes | atter.
