THE FRENCH SPOLIATION CLAIMS for the payment of the French spoliation bill is still pending before the Senate, and in order to preserve the documents in reference to the ctaims for the benetit of the government and the claimants, in case a commission is ap- pointed to adjudicate them, the executors of the late Jos. H. Causten have transferred them to Messrs. J. F. Pickett and J.J. Stew- art, attorneys, who have consented to take charge of them. The number of claimants is about five thousand.
