At the primary meetings on Saturday, we understand, that Leonardtown district, his own home, went against him by a vote of two to one. Charlotte Hall district also went against him, and in favor of Jamieson, who will probably be the | lucky man on the democratic side. On the re- | publican side, we are informed, Colonel 8. T. Suit conddently expects the nomination, and feels certain of bis election if nominated, seen. Mr. George F. Hoar has consented to stand for a re-election to Congress in the Worcester district, but it seems a matter of some doubt whether be can be elected, in view of Gen. Butler's ferocious enmity, and the | pretty large following Butler has in that dis- | triet who may be counted on to vote against | Hoar.
