The Candida ‘The Campaign Last night meetings were held im the variqus legislative distriets to nominate republican can- <idates for the House of Delegates. The meet- ings were largely attended and were character- ized by great harmony and enthusiasm. first District—Mr. Solomon S. Brown was nominated in this district about ten days ago. Second District —The in thie district was held at the warehouse of Capt. Hall at Piney Branch. Mr. John 4. Cook presided, and Mr. Harmon acted as secretary. Messrs. J. Hall and David Baker were nominated, and the vote taken by tellers was announced as fyllows: Hall 70, Buker 4 Third District The republicans of this dis- trict met last night at the hall over che Market House, Mr. George W.
