Thus the present population of Baltimore is pat down by the St. Louis Democrai at only 219,000, whereas it i* certainly not les: tha at is cleimed to be above 369,000, ‘The Chicago papers, however, do not for a moment concede the modest claim put for?h by the rival city, and they go into an elaborate analysis to show the frandulent nature of the Pretersion.
