A FATHER AcciperTALAY KILLS HIS OWN DavemtTeR.—On Saturday Dr. Spicer, Coroner, held an inquest at the houseof Wm. Hattchen, on East Madison street between Caitle and Chester street, over the body of the daughter of Wm. Hattchen, Lena, aged four years, whose death took place nnder the following circum- stances: On last Wednesday afternoon two cows inthe yardof Mr. Hattchen commenced to fight each other close to a w: in which the child was, and the father with a club aimed a blow at one of animals, but unfortunately struck the girl, who died on Friday morning. At the moment when struck she looked out from the Wagon and the club descended upon her head and camed congestion of the brain. Dr. Frank | was in attendance, and did all he could to save ber. The jury rendered a verdict in accordance with the facts above stated.— Baltimore Amerscan Zith inst.
