A letter received at Loursville, from Princeton, Ky., speaks of a fearful accident which oc- curred on the 4th. A man named Boot Crow was hauling npon & wagon two immense mill- stones, ove of which weighed 2.*50 ponnds. While passing along the side of 8 big hill the heaviest stone rolled from the wagon and down the declivity with = fearful velocity, ernshing small trees and shrubbery in its course. ‘Ihe house of a farmer, named Dar- well, was situated at the, foot of the bill. Toe mill-stone went crusbing through a fence and into the yard of the farmer's house, where were & number of bee-bives. In the yard were | playing a bevy of children. The be-hives were upset, apd the bees in the confusion light. ed upon the children, stinging every one of them in afrightftul manner. The progress of the great stone was uot impeded in the least by its collision with the Biver, and went bound- ing into a stock pasture beyoud the house. It dashed into a herd of calves and horses, kill- ing two of the former ind one of the latter almost instantiy. Tbe children in the yard bad been completely covered with the bees, and esch one was stung by them until their persons were entirely covered with white swellings.
