Proceeding east upon the same line, it will connect with the Metropoli- tan road, now rapidly progressing in construce tion near Mrs, Gales’ estate at Eckington, and passing on bebind Kendall Green will counect with the Wasbington branch of the Baltimore and Obio railroad near the Fenwick property. For the purpose of & connection with the Baiil- more and Potomac railway there must bs a brarch southwardly from the main line of at lesst & baif @ mile in length. The same weuld be true of the Point Lookout road when it shall be con- structed. The work on the Janction road is to be pushed forward rapidly, and thus it will at once give an impulse to business here by em. ploying & number of taborers.
