The masonic fraternity, of which he was a member, will attend the funeral. result of this enterprise will doubtless be the peopling of the section of eowntry through Which the road passes with industrious sad energetic farmers, the soil being very fertile, and well fitted for the cultivation of garden products, as well as heavier crops. The value of the Iand will thus be enbanced, and the people of the adjoiuing counties of Virginia will be equally beneftied with cur citizans. ‘The road will probably be cleared aad grated trom the Aqueduct Bridge to Falls Cnarch, and prepared for the surtace dressing, 1n about six months from this date.
