The facis, as related to us, are about these: Langolf & Son keep & Saloon on Market street, between 5tk and 6th. Some time ago the old man took it into bis bead to marry one of the females con. nected with the house. which he did. The son not only strongly objected to the proposed matrimonial match, but made his remonstran- ees known to his father; yet in this case, as in the case of young lovers, the old ones over- leaped all barriers, and were made ‘flesh of one flesh.” Yesterday the son determined to be avenged upon the father, and, finding some brave ones to back him. he attacked the old Man. A general fightensued in the house, which created a great deal of excitement, and soon a large crowd gathered in the Vicinity of the scene of action. Chairs, sticks, &c , were freely used, which resulted in several persons receiving bruised heads.—Lowisriile Democrat. RITUALISM.—A royal comm'ssion on Ritual- ism bas been appointed in England to inquire into the differences of practice that have arisen from varying interpreiations put upon the rubrics, orders, and directions for regulating the course and conduct of public worship, the Administration of the sacraments, and the other services contained in the Book of Oommon Prayer, according to the use of the United Oburch of England and Ireland, and more especially with reference to the ornaments used in the churchesand chapels of the said united church. and the vestments worn by the Ministers thereof at the time oftheir ministra- lions, with the view of explaining or amendin g the said rubrics, orders and directions, co as te secure general uniformity of practice in such matters as may be deemed essential. Thecom- mission 's also authorized to consider anew arrangement of lessons in the Book of Common Prayer. — THE PrRizz RinG.—Barney Aaron, who re- cenuy gained the championship over “ollye, arrived in New York Jate on Thursday nizht, aceompanied by a half dozen of the sporting fraternity. His friends say that he is now willing to meet Collyer again. There have been large sums offered on bim, and, it 1s said, tbat they will.be met by Collyer’s admirers if & match can be arranged between tnem. The New York Express says Aaron’s face still bears unmistable marks of severe bruising. —$________ AYFAIRS IN PEINCE GEORGES County, Mb.
