We are glad now to be able te give the farther gratifying infor- mation that the ground was broken to. day upon the roaa within the city Jimits, and a large force will be constantly employed pushing it forward to completion. Three gange are at work to-day at this end of theiine. Mr. S. G. Myers, superintendent, bas forty men at work ai the corner of H street and Delaware avenue. and aboutone hundred and fifty yards have already been graded this morning at that point. About half a mile out another gang of forty men are employed, and yet another party is employed where the road intersects the Baltimore branch track. A large force has been employed for some months upon the, heavy cutting at Parr's Ridge, working in this direction, and another body of men are engaged at the junction of the road with the main stem of the Baltimore and Ohio road. The jnterested parties who have se persist- ehtly proclaimed that this road would never be built, will now probably shut up their mouths.
