King 4 had secured the doors on the inside, so that the police had to enter bya window. They were brought out for a hear- ing before Justice Walter. Thos. Ronke was fined $5. Haney was sept to jail for court: three ‘were locked up 12 hours; two were sent to we workhouse: and the others were dismissed. A meeting of the Teachers’ Institute was held on Friday afternoon last, the subject of pen- mansbip being under consideration. Upon the conclusion of the sessiom 4 meeting was held to organize a «Teachers’ Association,” com- posed of teachers of the public schools, for Purposes of mutual aid and protection. A committee was appointed to drait @ constitu- uon_ tobe at the next meeting. It is designed to make it a relief association.
