Tue Exe.isH Orsra.—There was another brilliant and fashionable audience at the Na- tional Theater last evening, the occasion being 4 the presentation for the first time in this city of Eschberg’s comie opera of “The Doctor of Aicautara.’ The opening scenes are rather dull, and give no promise of the rich tand of wit and humor. and the delightful musical ef- tects which characterize other parts of the opera. Miss Ricbings as “Inez,” was grace- ful, lively, and piquant, and sang with her usual sweetness and power; Miss Harrison ‘Was acceptable as “Isabella,” Seguin as the “Doctor,” was perfect in acting, and the “Car- los of Wylie is sufficient to make his reputa- tion as 4 first-rate comedian anywhere.
