Barnes, as delegates trom the House Painters’ Union. were received, and they were admitted. Whaley stated that, as president of the National Labor Congress, he had ad- €ressed circulars tothe vice presidents in the several States in reference to the movemeut, and had received responses thereto from Mis- sovri, Massachusetts, New Haven and Nor- wich, Connecticut, New York, Delaware, Bal- timore, and other places, all of which speak in cheering terms of the cause. He had also taken steps to introdace the movement in the South, ! and States which were not represented at the Labor Congress. It appears that yes- terday morning about 11 o'clock the partition between their houses was set on fire, and that the bed of Cassy Dixon was burned before the flames were extinguished. The case was heard before Justice Walter last evening when evi- deuce was offered that Cassy’s husband had been fond of visiting Malvina, and yesterday morning there was aquarrel between the three, at the conclasion of which the husband went into Malvina’s house, and in a short time there- alter the fire was discovered.
