RESIS) ESS Macutne Portry. Direct from Smith's Oak Hall. Oak Hall sings . Of the curious things Which are worn by women and men On the top of the head; We wish they were fled Where we never could see them again! Such comical gear, So funny and queer. Hath never appeared to the eyes Since Adam and Eve Were obliged to leave The Garden of Paradise. Man’s hat’s out of joint, And itruns to a point, Like an old-fashioned chimney-pot; With a queer little brim, So narrow and slim, As if something had been forgot. The bonnets for woman Are truly inbuman— The tiniest bit of a eg With a bunch on behind, Which puts you in mind Of your ancient grandmother's cap. T. Helmbold—Dear Sir: In regard to the question asked me asto my opinion about Puhu, 1 would that 1 have used and sold the article in various forms for the past thirty years. I do rot think there is any form or preparation of it 1 have not used or known to be used, in the various diseases where such medicate agent would be indicated. You are aware, as well as myself, that ‘t has been ex- tensively employed in the various diseases of the bladder and kidneys, and the reputation it has acquired, in my judgment, is, warranted by the facts, Ihave seen and used, as before stated, every form of Buchu—the powdered leaves, the sim- ple decoction, tincture. fluid extracts,—and I am not cognizant of any preparation of that plant at all equal to yours. Twelve years’ ex- perience ought, I think, to give me the right to Judge of its merits, and without prejudice or partiality I give yours precedencefover all oth- ets. Ido not value a thing according to its bulk, if Ldidother Buchus wou!d out-do yours, but I hold to the doctrine that bulk and quan- tity do not make up value—if they dida cop- per cent would be worth more than a gold dol- jar. I valne your Buchu for its effect on patients. T have cured with it, and seen cured with it, morefdiseases of the bladder and kidneys than I have ever seen cured with any other Buchu, or any other proprietory compound of what- ever name. Respectfully yeurs, &c., Geo. A. Keyser, M. D., 140 Wood Street, Pittsburg, Pa. August 11, 1°65. Ask for Helmbold’s Fluid Extract Buchu. —_e_—- Mr. NATHANIEL C.
