After remarks by Messrs. Clark, Collamer, Johnson and Davis, in support of the Senate’s amendments, and Messrs. Ohandler and Hale im support of the original House bill, the first amendment, decreasing the tariff tothirty-three and one-third per cent.on present duty was adopted—yeas, 19; nays, 17. The amendment exemp goodsin bond was &dopted by yeas, \9; nays, 18. The resolution, as amended, was then reported to the Senate, and a separate vote ordered. The amendment decreasing thétariff to thirty three and one-third per cent., was adopted: yeas, 19; nays, 17 The amendments made in the committee were then voted on.
