Forrest, who was arrested by Detectives McDevitt and Claryoe, upon a charge of ab- ducting @ female minor Margaret Ann Cole trom her protector, Jane Falls, was taken up for hearing before Justice Clark. Theevidence s!.owed that the minor girl had left the com- piainant’s house, and had met the accused at anu improper place; but there being no evidence to show that the defendant took her from her protector’s house, Justice Clark dismissed the case. The girl was sixteen years old.
