LATEST FROM FREDERICK The latest intelligence from Frederick city and the region occupled by the Rebels, ts brought b (eneral Columbus UO? Donned, who reached Balti- more yerterd+y afternoon from his country seat bear Weaverton, not far from Harper's Ferry. ba He been up there for some Gays prior to the crossing the river, and suddenly found Limseif within the enemy’s lines. Having 1m- business to attend to in Baltimore, be saddled paiirof plough horses, being the y team eft on his place, and started for Fred- ertok city. On arriving within a few miles of Frederick he was stopped by the Rebel pickets, and obtained permission to pass on to the quarters of the Pro- vost Maraual, Bradley T Johnson, with whom he bad at ore tt some acquaintance. Oa reaching the city he was conducted to the marahal’s office, 11d was warmly greeted by Johnson, who assure lilim toat it was out of bis power to grant him a pass to Baltimore, as no one but General Lee had that power, to whom he referred him, giving hit # pass to the General’s headquarters, four miles fecm Frederick, on the Georgetown road. This occurred on Monday afternoon, and Gen. O'Donnell immediately started out to the Rebel camp, Where he found Gen Lee’s headquarters on one side of the road and Gen. Jackson’s on the cthereide. There was quite a large force of in- fantry without tents, and the most of the men without knapsacks, presenting a most deplorable appearance, so far a8 dress was concerned, though they were well armed, and seemed to be in gcod spirits, On reaching the camp Gen. O'Donnell ap- proached the tent of Gen. We have not had the pleasure of seeing General O'Donnell, but learn that It is bis epinion from What he saw that the enemy has no jatention of a cing either on Baltimore or Washington. He had abandoned his office on the previotts day, and bad just returned when he Side ier and carried off. Plain No.4 is sixteen miles this side of Frederick. THE PORCE OF THE REDELS. The statements we have received from corres- pondents ef ths New York papers as to the force au which the rebels have crossed into Maryland, entiely @isacree with any accounts that have beea received here from fugitives from Frederick county. No one who has yet arrived here speaks of baving seen more than fifteen thousand men, whileecme of the Northern correspondents vouch for an army of from sixty thousand to one hun- dred thousand. As to the reports concerning thelr approach to Westminister, we learn by the cars yesterday that the nearest approach to tLat plece was the station- ins of Rebel pickets {x miles from Union Bridge.
