The camp was marked as a successful outing with every {boy in the camp trying his luck at reflector oven biscuits. The Cam- poree was conducted on a Patrol basis under the leadership of Patrol Leaders. Scout Camporees are designed to make better campers of Scouts. To be a good camper one must be a good cook. Much time was spent on the preparation of food. News menus introduced were Hike Chowder and Reflector oven biscuits, both of which met with fair success. Ten reflector ovens were made by the Scouts and received plehty of use. | “Because the preparation of meals | fand clearing up around campsites consumed more time than is nor- | mally necessary for the efficient Patrol operation, it is necessary that we conduct immediately a Patrol Leaders Training School,” Del Hanks, Scout Executive, said today. | In discussing the Training Con- | ference at camp, Patrol Leaders agreed that the outdoor session®of the training course should be con- i ducted in February but that the indoor sessions which can be con- | ducted in Juneau, could be conduct- i ed any time. It was agreed also | that all Green Bar Officers should | attend the training course. This | would include Assistant Patrol Lead- ' ers, Scribes, Quartermasters, Junior | Assistant Scoutmasters, and Seniar | Patrol Leadsts. The course consists of five sessions and each Scout completing the- course will receive a | Craining Certificate. — e, FILIPINO COMMUNITY [ And Ladies Auxiliary mcet to- night at 8 in the Parish Hall to| install officers. 66 1t RUSSIAN "ORTHODOX CHURCH Church members will celebrate their Christmas and have church services Tues. evening, Jan. 6, at 7:30 p. m. and at 10:30 a. m.!
