Alaska with one fifth the membership and many, many less units, is accredited with an amount little short of this state’s contribution and money is still coming in. { Perhaps, it will not be noted by, National, but I want the units to know how happy it has made your Department Chairman and the' other officers of the department. When we all get behind a project as we did on this one, it is hard; to beat the record of the Alaska' Department for going over the top. | Let me tell you an interesting ' sidelight to my part of the cam- | paign. When I first sent the in- formation to the units, I wrote my brother, then stationed in England, | about it and asked if he had had; any first hand experience with clubmobiles and if so what his opinions and those of the other boys were concerning them. ‘ | A short time later, I received a| letter from him saying that he| {had not as yet encountered one ibut that all the boys had heard |about them and were anxiousiy awaiting the arrival of one.
