i 8 JUNEAU CLINIC QUARTERS ARE NOW REOPENED Complete New Office and Surgical Equipment In- stalled, New Location Located in the former offices of Dr. W. W. Council, directly above Bloedhorn's Jewelry Store, the Ju- neau Medical and Surgical Clinic has re-opened with complete new office and surgical equipment, all machines and instruments the most modern and up-to-date in the Ter- ritory. ‘The new clinic includes a surgery, two patient room, a waiting room, an X-ray and developing room,and offiees and laboratories for Dr. W. W. Council, Dr. C. C. Carter, Dr W. P. Blanton, Dr. W. M. White- head and Dr. R. H. Williams, Probably the most valuable of all equipment of the clinic is the Standard X-ray machine, which is a combination fluoroscopic and radiographic X-ray unit. This ma- chine is manufactured by the Stan- dard X-ray Company at Chicago, and has been installed in the local clinic by Harold Hovland, represen- tative of the company. with oi- ficks in Seattle. It is the highest powered, shock-proof X-ray in Al- aska, and is two and one-half times more powerful than the ma- chine which it replaces. It has an automatic control and is used for superficial treatment wor as well as for diognostic purposes. De Forest Dynatherm Another machine manufactured by the Standard Company is the De Forest Dynatherm, for short wave treatments and electro sur- gery.
