W, Five Klondikers, Recently Missing in Interior, In _Juneau The five Dawson men — Oscar Adami, Peter Funk, Okie Ogren, Wil- liam Jameks and George Townsend— who were with Pilot Jack Hermann when he was forced down by engine trouble, at Cassiar Roadhouse, en- route from Dawson to Fairbanks are passengers for Seattle on the| Northwestern, arriving here yester- day. The plane mishap recently caus- ed much excitement. They arrived at Fairbanks on November 12, aboard a Northern Air Transport plane flown by John Lynn Pilot Hermann set his plane down on a good landing place on an island | § near the Casiar Roadhouse when he did not like the way his motor was sounding. He was enroute to Fair- banks from Dawson. There were am- ple comfortable accommodations for the pilot and his five passengers while they waited for rescue planes Hermann could not repair the en- gine as he did not have the proper tools. The six were found by Pilot Bob Randall of the Northern Air Trans- port, who, with three other Fairbanks planes, was searching for the miss- ing Hermann plane. The six were later flown back to Dawson. NOTED WOMAN AIR PILOT ABOARD N.W.
