[} —"|REPAIRS BE MADE DOUGLAS NEWS AALTO FAMILY HOLDS i SCHOLASTIC RECORD A record probably not even ap- proached in any other town in Alaska apparently belongs to Mr. and Mrs. Augnst Aalto, pioneer residents of Douglas, as the par- ents of students, For twenty- eight years children of the Aalto family have been attending the Douglas schools, and with the gradoation next month of the youngest in the family, Miss Lil- lian Aalto, a total of six will have graduated from the Douglas high school. ————— TAKU IS 7O BE OUT BY FIRST OF MONTH “The high school annual “Taku” will be ready for distribution in a week, it was announced yestoer- day by Supt. The street improvement work done at the present time also met with his approval. THREE NEW AUTGCS "HERE FROM. SOUTH Three new automobiles have ar- rived in Junecau, two on the Alas- ka and one on the Admiral Rog- ers. The Connors Motor Company received a Buick Town Brougham, Series 120, while a Ford Tudor Sedan and a new Whippet went to patrons of the Juneau Motor Company. The Ford is the prop- erty of J. C. Thomas, and the Whippet is owned by Bruce Brown, fur farmer. With the lower sections done in light promenade blue, and the upper 'in dark promenade blue, the Buick is one of the finest ap- pearing cars in Juneau today. The wheels are of natural wood finish with Vermillion stripés, while blue and black duco has been used in trimming ' the remainder of the auto, - The interior is of taupe and green figured pattern, mohair plush. The car is the first of this year's broughams in Juneau and is the second 1928 model Buick to reach here. The Ford is done in light and dark blues, being different in color than the other new Fords in. Juneau.
