New Yong, Nov. 14.—Financial affairs were de- pressed to-dny and business dull, partly on ac- count of thesteadyrain. Money is close, and dear to borrowers on call. Exchange was dull and hetvy. Gold was alternately weak and firm, and stocks heavy at a decline. There is a feeling of uncertainty in regard to the future, especiallyas to the course of money, and operators enter upon new engagements with great caution. The outflow of money from this point continues, and the banks are still shipping logal tenders and National Bank notes to the Soath and West. In addition to this drain of currency, there was a further outflow of gold to Europe. The shipments of gold to-day were $1,300,000, making s total thus far for the week 0f'52,350,000. There is some talk of farther shipments on Saturdey. This outflow of both golg ‘and currency is steadily reducing the bank Teserves, and contracting the power of the Danks to assiet the money market.
