In connection with this, the company built the main supply line from the Iron Creek and Poison Spider fields to Casper—including a gas compressing plant at Iron Creek, since ~ moved to Poison Spider. In 1923, this company built the extension of the main pipe line from the Poison Spider field to a point near the Powder River. This.year, another 76-mile line of 10 and 12-inch pipe was built by the Hope Company, extending from the Big Sand Draw field, 20 miles south of Riverton, to tie in with the original main line from the Poison Spider field. The total Hope-Built Pipe Line mileage constructed for the New York Oil Company totals 175 miles, including the city distribution system. Other “Hope’’ Achievements in Wyoming 450 MILES OF HoOPE-BUILT GAS Pipe LINES IN The Hope Engineering and Supply Com- pany has built a total of 7 pipe lines into Casper, for oil or gas transportation. Among these is the largest pipe line in Wyoming—90 miles of 10, 12 and 14-inch pipe originaliy running from-Casper to the Wertz field, and since extended 22 miles— 112 miles in all. The oldest oil pipe line in Wyoming is that built in 1911 by the Hope Company, ex- tending from Salt Creek to Casper—which has probably carried more oil than any other line entering Gasper. In addition to Casper, Hope-Built main gas lines and distribution systems serve Mills, Thermopolis, Riverton, Lander and Rock Springs. _ Hope-Built oil pipe lines reach every important Wyoming oil field, And Hope-Built pumping stations and gasoline recovery plants are serving the industry with economy and dependability. The Hope-Built oil pipe lines in Wyoming alone total 350 miles—the Hope-Built gas lines total 450 miles.
