FEZ, Morocco, Aug. 1.—(United Press}—Perhaps the most oddly matched battle in history ts being waged along a front of 160 miles where the French, employing the most modern equipment and tactics of warfare, are pitting their strength against the ancient savagery of wily Riffian tribesment.
