Comparatively few motorists of Wyoming know of thé excellence of the Canadian highways and of the Wealth of scenery they open to the traveler by automobjle. There are a number of differont routes by which tourists may reach the North- ern country, and space permits us to mention here only one or two of the most popular trips. For instance, the local tourist may reach Yellowston park either by way of 'Thermopolis id Cody or the wander Dubois route. Completing the tour of the park our sight-seers iay next leave the Yellowstone by way of Cody and go north to Bili- ings. From Billings, a good Mon- tana state highway is found leadi through Great Falls and the » west into Glacter park. Glacier park is w scenic education in itself, and the return may then be made to Casper if time does not allow for the Canadian trip. However, for those wishing to view the wonders of the British pos- session, an excellent highway leads from Glacier park north to Cardston Alberta. At this point the tourist is skirting the edge of the Canadian Rocki¢s. From Cardston the road leads north to McLeod, Alberta, and then on north through High River to Calgary, one of western Canada’s Jargest cities, ‘These roads are re- »rted to be in good shape by the - SUNDAY, AUGUST 2, 1925 Natural Resources Intelligence Ser- vice and their invitation to visit Canada is strong and appealing. From Calgary, a main Canadian highway runs almost straight west to Banff, in the heart of the highest peaks in North America. Banff.is the center of the Lake Louise coun- try, and only a few miles remain to one of the world’s most picturesque mountain lakes. ‘The motorist may return to Casper by coming’ south trom Lake Louis to Windermere and Fernie, continue south to Missoula, Montana. From Missoula the logi- cal next stop is Butte, and one i then on the Yellowstone trail from where it is an easy matter to turn to Billings and south to Per. —_—\——— A patent has been taken out i England for a wireless crystal s¢tt contained in a walking stick, which carries its own collapsible aerial, A metal spike in the place of a ferrule forms an earth connection.
