Last evening’s show was marked by many special features. Perhaps the one which attracted the utmost in public favor was the display by John M. Whisenhunt and Co., of « 1913 Hupmobile touring car, still tn | good running condition, and togged out in its very best coat of paint for exhibition at the auto show. It was a case of the “old” and the “new,” for a 1924 Hup touring stood beside the ancient representative. A| cut away Buick engine attracted/ more than the usual public favor, and was cleverly tilted so that the, connecting rods and pistons were| plainly visible. Mr. Anderson, representing the MacFarland Auto Co., of Denver, in this district, was present at last eve- ning’s exhibition and called at the ‘Tribune office today to express his surprise and appreciation at the enormous attendance and evident enthusiasm in connection with this year’s show. He intimated that ho would make a most favorable report to the great Denver Buick agency, upon the spirit of the Casper public toward the automobile. ‘The displays of the local dealers will be changed again this evening, so that those attending for the sec- ond or third time may feel sure of stepping into new surroundings and looking upon new sights. He is also a Commerce. ‘The new mayor spent his early boyhood on a farm. The labor he was forced to do there gave him a stamina which enabled him to carry out his later work without breaking down. With the exception of local and county politics he had never taken an interest in such mat- ters before coming to Casper, largely for the reason that college profes- sors were not supposed to take any active part in national and state Politics.
