Murray last night on # arge of gambling after sufficient testimony had been heard to show that Chris Angelos’ establishment on West First street had been the scene of poker playing and dice throwing. Testimony also brought out the fact that Mike Zavoyas had been struck over the head with a chair in a fracas that occurred Sun- day morning. Zavoyas claimed that the prop- rietor had got him drunk on liquor, had tried to get his money, and had struck him with the evi- dent intention of knocking him “cold.” Opposing testimony was to the effect that Zavoyas had been quarrelsome.
