CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BUDGET FOR 13 MONTHS NEARLY $27,000 ‘Continued from Page one) projects are things that are recog nized as being very necessary to the future welfare of the city and county. In order that the chamber may fur ther the interests of these enterprises | it will be necessary that it receive the support of Casperites as it has in the past through its membership drives. Most of the program is tinuation of a program that ready been inaugurated, and for that reason it ought not to be dropped. Following is the list of things on which the chamber {s working and will continue to work: Irrigation, Continue to talk, think and act that the Casper-Alcova irrigation project means more to the people of Casper, | the state, and nation, than any other project that can be undertaken by us. Fi r the organization of a North e Irrigation association to combine the interests and activities of all communities along the North Platte for the development of frriga- ton. Water Supply. Cooperate with the municipal au: thorities in plans to increase and bet- ter our water supply. Encorage survey of sources of water supply in effort to develop adequate and con- stant supply for the future at reason- able cost. Garbage Disposal. Consider, follow-up and urge the elty authorities to adopt an adequate garbage disposal system at low cost. Community Building. Continue efforts to secure a place for public meetings and annual ex- hibits. Community Chest. Organize council of social agenctes, and adopt Community Chest program for financing those agencies. City and County Building. Study the proposed city and county building plan in an effort to deter- mine the practicability of such a project for Casper. Freight Rate. Continue efforts to secure freight rates on a parity with Cheyenne and Colorado common points. Transportation. Study the field of transportation facilities in this state with view of inducing more railroads to enter Cas- per. Secure better passenger equip- ment and train service on both rail- roads through Casper Industrial Development. Give encouragement wherever pos- sible for legitimate industries to locate in Casper, especially to indus- tries in a position to utilize natural resources. Federal Buildings. Continue efforts to secure a federal building of proportions suitable for Casper’s future needs. Housing. Encourage the building of more onefamily residences in Casper. City Beautiful. Encourage the planting and care of trees and shrubs. Study and develop plans for extensive park system. County Parks. Encourage the development of the Casper Mountain Park and Hell's Half Acre, and continue efforts to get a serviceable road to the top of Casper Mountain. Encourage city authorities to establish a municipal z00. County Roads. Plen and develop:the roads leading from Casper in co-operation with county and state authorities and other agencies, so that Casper may be properly connected with its tribu- tary territories. Sidewalks. Consider and follow up the need of continuous sidewalks in all parts of the city.
