Named DENVER, Colo,, April 22.—Directors |were elected here today at'the first meeting of stockholders of the new Denver & Rio Grande Western rail- road company of Colorado, which is to take over the property of the Den- ver & Rio Grande railroad sold at foreclosure sale here last November. Among the directors chosen was Al- vin W. Krech of New York, who also B\is chairman of the board of the West- ern Pacific Railroad company, and president of the Equitable Trust com- pany cl New ¥ which holds a $38,000,000 mortgage on the property. While no selection of a president of the new line was made, it was under- stood generally that this place would go to Joseph ‘H. Young of Salt Lake City, Utah, for many years president of the Norfolk Southern railroad. The directors elected, all of them from New York, were: F. W. M. Cutchen, I. De Brbyn, John B. After the regular meeting, a spe clal meeting of the stockholders amended the articles of incorporation of the new company to make the $1,- 000,000 issue of common stock of no par value.
