ay ~ FRIDAY, AUGUST 29, 1919 First Meeting of the Delphian Club to be Held in September The first meeting of the Delphian society of Casper will be held at the home of the president of the organi- zation, Mrs. T. F. Ageo, 616 South Beech street, on Wednesday the 10th of September. The members of the society have voted to study modern history and literature this season. Powder River News ! Reception to be Held Tonight at the Baptist Church The outgoing sionaries of the the gu and incoming mis- Baptist church are ts of honor at a reception to be given this evening at the Bap- tist church. The church will be decorated in red and white, the col- ors of the missionary training school. Refreshments will be served during the evening. The Reverend and Mrs. R. H. Moorman will be guests of honor at the reception. They are planning on leaving for India, in November, where they will do missionary work. Reverend Moorman has been the pas-| tor of the Baptist church for more than a year, and both he and his wife have many dear friends here. They will visit in Missouri before leaving for India. Miss Leona Magill, a very active member of the church, who is leaving in September for Chicago, where she will attend the Missionary training} school, will be one of the honored guests. She is still undecided as to whether she will take the foreign or home missionary course. SS Magill’s charming disposition has won her friends everywhere. Miss Cecil Drake of Connnecticut, , and M Wiggan, of Chicago, who both graduated from the Missionary training school last spring will be present honorary guests. Miss Drake will t the pastor here, while Miss Wiggan is passing thru on her to Gebo, Wyo., where she will do missionary work ampng the min- ers, t 4 Re Char! y.
