To Our Stockholders: During the past eight months of depression in the stock market and the consequent general inac- tivity, Bessemer company suspended drilling opera- tions after drilling in a good producer on section 10, township 39, range 79, in conjunction with the Domino-Wyoming company, pending the granting of patent and release by the government, the lease being within the segregated district: Through a misunderstanding on the part of the Secretary of the Interior our patent was held up, but all matters are now adjusted and the land office has called for the payment of the usual patent fees and it is anticipated that our final receipt will soon be issued and patent granted. In this event we will not be required to pay a royalty to the government and there will be no restrictions as to the extent of our drilling operations and the marketing of the product. | | i j } | It is conservatively estimated that the well driiled in last July will produce a thousand barrels per day and Bessemer’s interest in this well alone is sufiicient to pay dividends on the outstanding stock. Since receiving assurance that our patent is to be granted at an early date the Bessemer com- pany is planning an extensive drilling campaign and the company will be brought to a dividend paying basis with all possible speed. We own a complete Standard drilling outfit, including two rigs, two boil- | ers, two engines, tools, tanks, a good supply of cas- ing on hand, camp and all the necessary equipment on the ground for efficient work. Besides the additional wells which will be drill- | ed on section ten we are planning to syndicate 160 acres of section 30 in West Salt Creek. Cornering with this section West & Hazlett, on the former Hjorth property, are drilling a deep test well which will penetrate the third Wall Creek and Dakota sands. They are now down about 3,000 feet and the test will be made within a few weeks. The third Wall Creek is the most promising of the oil bearing sands in the Salt Creek area and it has never been reached in that district. We confidently expect the West & Hazlett test to produce a sensation. The fault in which Wyokans produced a number of big wells also crosses our section 30. Bessemer holds leases on 1200 acres in West Salt Creek and the success of the deep test now be- i ing made means. much to the future of our company. Bessemer is strictly a Casper company and we | are justly proud of the record it has made and of i our reputation for fair dealing and conservative management. It never was a stock-jobbing con- cern. We are now classed with the producers and will be among the first of the smaller companies to pay dividends. The stock on the open market has responded in accordance with our present good pros- pects, now selling at from 22 to 25 cents, and simil- taneously with a renewal of drilling operations this summer the stock will jump to a much higher figure. Future operations will be carried on with the same safe and conservative plan and all stock hold- j A properly finished floor not only adds at- tractiveness to the Varnish is easy to apply, IALLLEZLE AY 156 N.
