RAILS EASTOF CASPER All Burlington trains from the east ran in over the Northwestern tracks yesterday and this scheme of things © will continue until the wind stops heaping up pyramids and making a miniature desert of Sahara on the tracks between here and clayton. The unceasing winds of the past three days have piled up a mound ‘about four feet high in Sand Cut, and great quantities of snow that have collected there and mixed witb the drifting sand have formed a conglomeration not unlike |cement which is not the easiest thing in the world to plow thru as Satur- day’s Omaha train found to its dis- may. The eastbound train had to be stopped, wait for an engine, and then backed ignominiously into Casper, |making it many hours late. An en- {gine off the track at Clayton made other traffic difficulties, and altogther those who know conditions best, say they are the most appalling in the his- tory of the road.
