D., Nov. 23—(>)— Violence developed Tuesday for the first time in the ten-day-old strike ef union truck drivers Here. Police broke up a fist fight at Munce brothers warehouse with tear gas grenades and then gave a crew of 50 men protection while they unloaded a railroad freight car of furniture. The strikers’ squad in the melee also numbered an estimated 50 men. A dozen on each side emerged with black eyes and bleeding noses. The fight followed an employers’ ultimatum to the 85 strikers.
