THE BISMARCK TRIBUNE, FRIDAY, APRIL 9, 1987. R LGNSE FINS |Winter Wheat Crop INCREASE OVER "36 Prompt Service Now Sirtin ton Bae Giv- en Applicants for Annual Motor Plates North Dakota motor vehicle license receipts totaling $536,261 for the first three months of the year, showed & gain of nearly $124,000 over the same period in 1936, C. E. Van Horn, state motor vehicle registrar announced Friday. Large increases in receipts for March also were reported by the re- gistrar who sald license applications were moving steadily, and there was ho office delay. March receipts total- ed $259,313 compared with $169,817 for the same month in 1937. Of total monies received the first three months, $397.488 was for pas- senger cars and $106,454 from truck owners, Van Horn said. License registrations for three months totaled 50,860 against 37,396 for the same months last year, he stated. March registrations Increased about 10,000 over March, 1936. . Van Horn expected May registra- tions to be heavy because the penalty beginning May 15 on delinquent ap- plications usually brings a flood of license applications, He said license tags generally were being returned the day after applications are re- ceived.
