ELECTORS 10 CAST PRESIDENTIAL VOTE INBISMARCK DEC. 14 Four Democrats to’ Meet for First Time Under New Federal Law Four Democratic presidential elec- tors named in the North Dakota gen- eral election will hold # convention in Bismarck Dec. 14, to go through the formality of casting their ballot for Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt. Secretary of State James D Gronna was directed Friday by Governor Wel- ford to call the electors to meet on the first Monday after the second Wednesday in December to conform with other states in the union. Under the state law, the electors would have met in January, but the federal law was changed and the state conventions were directed to be held Dec. 14 to conform with the require- met of the Constitution of the United States that the meeting “shall be the same throughout the United States.” Governor Welford explained the North Dakota law was not amended to meet the new provision of the na- tional constitution for the time and place of meeting of presidential elec- tors, North Dakota's electors are M.
