6. — FADED ROMANCE OF EXPRESS FIRM CHIEF IS AIRED IN COURT {Two Different Stories of Vir- ginia Love Match of 1906 Told by Witnesses Chicago, March 27.—(4)—The faded Virgina romance of Lucille Camden Fargo with the late Livingston Wells Fargo was aired Thursday in probate court, where she began her fight for Tecognition as his common law wife and for a dower share of his estate. Fargo, who was 74 when he died in 1934, was a member of the family which founded’ the historic Wells- Fargo company and later the Ameri- can Express company. He was said by the Chicago woman to have become her husband in a eommon law ceremony in Philadel- phia May 5, 1906, when she was 19 and he wac 46. A packet of letters, accumulated in’ a correspondence of 28 years, was ready to be introduced into evidence im an attempt to’ prove « their relations.
