Ray the federal housing administration, Friday announced that the mortgage company of RFC has agreed to pur- chase FHA insured mortgages given for the construction of new homes in North Dakota. Reichert stated this arrangement will place tte whole resources of the RFC mortgage company behind the FHA’s campaign for new home con- struction. “By placing this enormous reser- voir of new capital behind the move- ment the last barrier in North Dakota has been removed,” he said. The new arrangement allows local banks to make loans for the construc- tion of new homes in this state, and if such loans are insured by the fed- eral housing administration, they can be sold to the RFC, the local bank re- taining the servicing of the loans at ® liberal commission, he stated. “Reports from lumbermen and bankers from every part of the state,” Reichert said, “indicate that 1936 will be one of the best years for residential construction in the history of the state and that by 1937, the badly un- derbuilt condition of many of our towns will be greatly alleviated. “Our difficulty has been in getting private capital into the field.
