Secaus Women’s Minstrel to «| Raise Campaign Funds; A Bismarck Women’s Minstrel will be sponsored at the Bismarck city auditorium the evenings of Wednes- day and Thursday, May 15 and 16, by local clubs affiliated with the North Dakota Federation of Women’s clubs to raise funds to advance the candidacy of Mrs. Albert E. Jones for second vice president of the general federation at the Detroit, Mich., blen- nial convention in June. Decision to sponsor the benefit was made by a group of local delegates to the state federation convention held at Valley City last week-end, who met for luncheon Wednesday noon at the Inn. Sowles, Miss Clarice Belk and Miss Marie Huber. ee * Brother and Sister Announce Marriages Two marriages which have occurred in the family of Lynn W. Sperry, former state senator, and Mrs. Sperry of this city, were announced this week. Sperry-Benson Mr. and Mrs. Sperry Wednesday announced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Frances Lynn Sperry, to Orlando Benson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Benson, also of this city. ‘The marriage took place in East Grand Forks, Minn., on December 24, 1934, with Lawrence Smith and Miss Catherine Smith, both of East Grand Forks, acting as <ttendants. Mrs. Benson is a graduate of the Bismarck schools and of the Univer- sity of North Dakota. For the last four years she has been an instructor at the state training school at Man- dan. Mr. Benson also graduated from the local schools and is em- ployed as construction foreman by the Northwestern Bell Telephone company.
