FARGO ATTORNEY 70 SEEK JUDICIAL POST Daniel B. Holt Announces Can- didacy For Bench in First District —__——_ Fargo, May 5.—(?)—Announcement that he had consented to become a candidate for Judge of the district court of the first district was made Wednesday by Attorney Daniel B. Holt, one of the most widely known members of the Fargo bar, a resident of the state since 1892. Holt's announcement has resulted from the fact that he has been im- Portuned from all sections of the dis- trict to make the race, asking nomi- nation in the primary of June 29, and election in the general ballot in No- vember. In the district are Cass, Grand Forks, Traill, Barnes, Nelson, Steele and Griggs counties. This district elects three judges this year, court being Judge A. T. Cole of Fargo, Judge M. J. Englert of Valley City,!New York, Hecht wired Howard and Judge P. G. Swenson of Grand Forks, Concludes Hearing On Big Power Firm ‘Washington, May 5.—(?)—The fed- eral trade commission concluded ‘Wednesday its hearings on the North- ern States Power company with final testimony on the trend of rates in ‘the company and its subsidiaries. ‘The commission Friday will begin Scparate hearings on the Minneapolis General Electric company, a Northern States subsidiary.
